Join Kultur Mercado and New Israel Fund (NIF) NewGen for an engaging evening as we screen “Citizen Nawi” (2007), a powerful documentary that tells the story of Ezra Nawi, a queer Mizrahi Israeli peace activist working with Palestinian communities in the South Hebron Hills.
After the screening, we will break out into small-group discussions where attendees can reflect on the film and explore the challenges of solidarity activism and peace-building as well as ideas for strengthening on-the-ground movements for justice and equality in Israel and Palestine. The conversation will focus on how individuals and organizations can take action to promote human rights and justice for all.
Dinner and drinks will be provided, creating a welcoming atmosphere to connect with fellow community members and supporters of NIF NewGen. Don't miss this chance to deepen your understanding of critical issues facing Israel-Palestine today and to build solidarity with others dedicated to progressive social change.
Limited parking is available behind the venue and ample parking on the streets.
