Community Engagement Volunteer

In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage with our diverse community through various outreach efforts, events, and initiatives. Your responsibilities may include producing visual content for Facebook or Instagram, convincing us to make a TikTok, conducting outreach to partner organizations, and helping to develop strategies to enhance community participation and involvement. Duties:
• Engage with community members through in-person and online interactions to promote Kultur Mercado's mission and initiatives.
• Help identify and establish partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community groups to expand outreach efforts.
• Support the development and distribution of promotional materials, including flyers, posters, and social media content.
Requirements:
• Passion for community engagement and cultural bridge-building.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in diverse community settings and engage with people from different backgrounds.
• Previous experience in community outreach, event planning, or volunteer coordination is preferred but not required.
Duration/Timing:
• Duration: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of six (6) months.
• Timing: At least 2 hours per week, based on volunteer availability and organizational needs. Scheduling is flexible and can be coordinated with the volunteer's availability.

Operations and Data Volunteer
Are you detail-oriented and interested in behind-the-scenes operations? Join us as an Operations Volunteer! In this role, you will support the day-to-day operations of our organization by assisting with administrative tasks, research, and data entry and collection. Your responsibilities may include assisting with data entry, making recommendations to improve our accountability and user experience, and providing general support to our team, as needed. If you are eager to contribute to the smooth functioning of a cultural organization, we'd love to have you as part of our operations team!
Duties:
• Assist in maintaining and organizing organizational files, documents, and records.
• Help ensure data integrity and accuracy by reviewing and verifying information entered into databases.
• Provide key assistance in tracking core data for partners and funders
• Assist with other operational tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms) and familiarity with database management software (though we can provide training there)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, or operations is preferred but not required.
Duration/Timing:
• Duration: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of four (4) months.
• Timing: One (1) to two (2) hours per week, based on volunteer availability and organizational needs. Scheduling is flexible and can be coordinated with the volunteer's availability.

Digital Events Volunteer
Are you tech-savvy and interested in supporting virtual gatherings and online events? In this role, you will play a vital role in helping us plan, organize, and execute engaging digital events and activities. Your responsibilities may include assisting with setting up virtual platforms, coordinating technical aspects during events, and providing support to participants, as needed. If you have experience with digital tools and platforms like Zoom or RSVPify, good organizational skills, and a passion for creating memorable online experiences, we'd love to have you join our team!
Duties:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing virtual events, workshops, and webinars hosted by Kultur Mercado.
• Help set up and manage virtual event platforms, including Zoom, or other online conferencing/event tools.
• Coordinate technical aspects during virtual events, such as managing breakout rooms, troubleshooting audio/video issues, and assisting participants with technical support.
• Assist with monitoring and engaging participants during virtual events, including moderating chat discussions and Q&A sessions.
• Provide post-event support, including collecting feedback from participants, compiling analytics, and generating event reports.
Requirements:
• Proficiency in using virtual event platforms and online conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with participants and team members.
• Previous experience in event planning, technical support, or digital marketing is a plus.
Duration/Timing:
• Duration: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of four (4) months.
